Nvivo Nvivo is a qualitative software package. It is used to code and analyse qualitative data, such as open-ended surveys, transcriptions of focus groups, or other text-based data. By using Nvivo to code the text in a project, a person can quickly retrieve specific quotes based on various search criteria. In addition, tabular data representing the counts of specific codes in various documents can be created for exporting into a quantitative (statistical) software package.
