As part of our preferred supplier agreements with Apple, Dell and Hewlett Packard, arrangements are in place for UTS staff (and students) to purchase computers and selected peripherals and software at discounted prices. Arrangements are made directly between the staff member and the supplier, however, if you require general advice about purchasing a computer system or peripheral, our expert IT Purchasing staff are available to assist. Transaction and payment methods differ among the suppliers. Pricing is as supplied by the vendors. We suggest you look over the offerings from all suppliers before making a decision. Please note: All purchases are for personal use only and UTS is unable to provide any support. Technical support and warranty issues are to be handled directly with the supplier concerned. Software The following supplier offers discounts to UTS Students and Staff for a wide range of educational and retail software products.
A selection of Microsoft products is available for purchase at greatly reduced prices. In addition, UTS has a number of site licence agreements which offer students and staff access to software which can be installed and used on computers that are personally owned by staff and students while studying or working at UTS. Site License Software Use your UTS staff number or UTS student number as your username when you log in. You may need to synchronise your access to the UTS LDAP directory listing by doing one of the following, depending on whether you have activated your email account.
