Why is Wireless running slow?
The speed of the wireless will vary mainly due to two things:

The Number of users sharing the same airspace.
a) The number of users connected to a particular access point (AP) makes the speed of the wireless change - remember the airspace is shared. It's a bit like driving on a highway. When you're on your own its great, but as more and more users come onboard and merge into each others lanes, things slow down.
The closer you are to the source (AP) the faster the speed
b) The distance you are from an access point determines the speed of the connection. If you're really close to the source, its works at maximum speed, but if you are really far away the speed slows down.
